Does it work with MSFS 2020 or X-Plane?
StrataWx launches on Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, with MSFS 2020 and X-Plane support coming. Updates to a simulator you already own are always free; extending StrataWx to a brand-new simulator may carry a small one-time upgrade fee, never full price.
Is this really a one-time price?
Yes. $29.99 buys StrataWx for MSFS 2024 outright, with free updates forever. We only ever charge again if we bring StrataWx to a totally different simulator, and even then it's a small upgrade fee, never a full repurchase.
How does injection actually work?
A desktop engine aggregates and synthesizes the weather, then a lightweight in-sim toolbar panel applies it to the simulator's active weather every loop, with smoothing tuned to eliminate visible pops.
Will it affect my frame rate?
The heavy lifting (data fetching and 3-D synthesis) runs in the desktop app, not the sim. The in-sim panel only applies small per-loop deltas, so the performance impact is minimal.
Windows only?
The desktop app is Windows x64 today, shipping as a signed installer. Broader platform support follows the sim integrations.
